2012 Fancy Flea

Here is one more batch of pictures taken by Kiki. I think I have enough for one more post after this one.

Love the pink night stands (and everything else).

Neat idea using the wheelbarrow.

This booth was spectacular.

Notice the vintage surveyor pole to the left of the old bathing suit. The swim suit was a real crowd pleaser.

Lots of pretty furniture here.

More Fancy Flea Pictures 2012

The pictures in this post were taken at random by my friend Kiki. As you can see she does a good job with her camera. I will post more pictures later.

Carol from the Polka Dot Closet. I enjoyed meeting her.

Paula.

Shelly (center) with her helpers Kay and Julie, all from Lake Wales.

Very creative girls.

Beautiful booth.

Fancy Flea April Lakeland Florida

Fancy Flea Spring 2013
My friend Paula and I set up this past Saturday at the Fancy Flea, a vintage home and garden market  in the beautiful historic district of  Lakeland, Forida. This popular event is held twice a year. I snapped a few pictures at random and some were taken  early while people were setting up. I will post lots more pictures in a few days.

This booth is Carol's from the Polka Dot Closet. She wasn't fully set up yet.
This was my space, with Paula's to the left. My big pieces disappeared early.

Paula, frantic during set-up. She wanted everything to be perfect, and it was.

Paula made these adorable burlap flowers for her tent. How cute are they?

I'm glad this tattered chair went to a new home. I've had it for years and finally decided I was never going to do anything with it. Same story with the piece of scrap iron.

I love this chest.

Paula, busy "spinning her magic". Notice there was no shortage of shoppers.

Soooo many people.

I will add more pictures soon in another post.

My Edgy Chair Re-Do Periwinkle Blue

I had a plan for this chair.
I was going to use my usual colors.

It was easy to prime using Kilz 2.
This color is growing on me already but I loved the fabric instantly.

I went out of my comfort zone when I painted this chair. My friend told me to go "edgy".  I found the French motif fabric at Joan Fabrics and the Krylon satin paint at Walmart. It is called Periwinkle. I think I like it and might use this color again on other projects.
