More Keys Please-Tuesday Find

Today I was cleaning out an old dresser drawer and found these old keys I forgot I had. I'll have to come up with a creative project for them.

Treasure In The Trash

Today one of my scouts spotted this "skinny cabinet" in someone's trash. First chance I got I went and picked it up. Turns out it is an old drawer the width of my car. I sure would like to see the cabinet it came from. I will keep an eye out for more drawers and hopefully, the entire cabinet!

I'm not sure yet what I'll do with it, but I'm thinking the drawer front would make a very nice sign of some sort.

Bird In A Bell Jar

I've been gathering things to make this arrangement for awhile. First, I bought the large bell jar.
Then, just by chance, I found this wonderful old tray that fits the bell jar perfectly. It has a wonderful, crusty patina giving it an "old world" look.
Actually, I bought two of these wonderful trays.

My neighbor has this wonderful vine growing along an alley that I pass on my way to work.  When it's green it is flexible and easy to work with. Eventually, it will turn brown and brittle.
I love the little tree frog and life-like moss on top of the bell jar.

I always have a stash of birds, birds' nests, etc.

Stagecoach Strongbox

Yesterday I bought this old box and didn't know for sure what it was. After a little research I found out it is an old stagecoach strong box from the 1800"s. It isn't very big but it sure is heavy.
It makes a good back drop for my chunk of coral with the encrusted seashell.
It didn't have anything in it.
So I put some things on it.

Garage Sale Find On New Year's Day

Happy New Year to everyone. Today started out sort of typical for us. After we finished breakfast we headed over toward the gas station to fill our tank. When we spotted a big green garage sale sign our little car just sort of veered that direction. There wasn't much there but I did find this fabulous, vintage corsage. I believe the flowers are bisque but I cannot really tell for sure. The colors are the palest of pinks and yellows. Some of the flowers are chippy but that just makes it better, right?
I should have, would have, and could have paid more than fifty cents but didn't have to! Yum!
